Swimming

Abi can swim without armbands. Her water confidence has been building up over the last couple of weeks, she was up to her neck in the sea on sunday, scarily after having been afraid of the waves before. She’s been floating on her body board through the arches of the bridge this week and now she tried swimming without arm bands in the pool like her friend. She did it.

Abi came home a few months ago declaring that she wanted to marry Joe and he wanted to marry her. Her love has since switched. She also informed me that one boy said he would cry if he had to get married, another that he did want to get married but hadn’t found the right girl yet. These guys are 4……

Mia is devotedly copying Abi right now, the latest is having her hair up, she can only have bunches, there is not enough hair for anything else. I’ll have to work out how to add picture so you can see. Abi meanwhile has bunches and a pony tail, she can’t decide which she would like best.

Where does she get it from? Abi, at 4 is picking up on the latest trends, it’s leggings, hello kitty and long thin scarfs round her neck, her dad is objecting to that last one on grounds of safety.

Sports Day

I was a bit nervous about Abi’s sports day in the past she hasn’t really understood about winning and losing but just loved the taking part, generally in her own little world at her own pace. This year she surprised me she came third in one her races, guess which one. It had to be dressing up, all that clothes swapping has paid off.

Our Holiday

We went away to Wales on our family holiday recently. Very blowy and very wet but we still had superb fun. We stayed in one room and had a great time as a family. What I found interesting is Abi. She was actually very content and happy. It seemed to be related to us all in one room and together a lot.

I think it’s time to add the baby sister to the blog, she is 9 months now after all. She is greatly loved by big sis abi, often too much. She’s the only one Abi will willingly kiss and cuddle. She giggles and giggles at Abis antics and generally brings a great deal of joy wherever she goes. Mia has learnt to shake her head, but not nod. A guess this is like the word “no”tends to come before “yes. She has said “daddy” much to her fathers delight and calls on her “Adda” too.

Sorry long time no blog, abi has just said something which made me crease up. She asked for some ice cream and sauce pan please, for pudding. I guess its along the lines of when she wanted some dressing up on her salad
